Bare Shield

 

 

Bunch the shield

 

Cut the side off the bunch

 

Clean up a small portion of the shield that remains

 

Smooth the small portion

 

Prepare shield ground

 

Untwist it until its flared out.

 

 

carefully wind 1 TURN ONLY.

Clip the rest with flush cut

 

Heat the whole thing until solder FLOWS fully into both braids

 

Smallest applicable heat shrink.
