The researcher is an FAA-licensed Aircraft Mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings along with an Inspection Authorization. The researcher worked as an aircraft maintenance instructor for an aircraft manufacturer and participated with SAE International on multiple committees in the development of training curricula and standards.

This research is a part of a capstone project (thesis) for a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth in December 2010.
